The City of Richardson and the Richardson Kiwanis Club are using Richardson’s upcoming sesquicentennial celebration as the theme to kick off the second annual Traffic Signal Box Art Contest. Choose what to celebrate about Richardson’s past 150 years. Your design might feature technology, parks and pools, your school, festivals, events, parades, old establishments, pastimes, people or just a great memory. The contest is open to individual artists residing in the city or students attending a school located within Richardson. The deadline to enter is Friday, April 28 by 5 p.m.
In addition to having their artwork showcased in the community, the five winning artists will also receive $200, a plaque and have their work published in the Richardson Today and other municipal communication channels. The winning designs will also be showcased at the following intersections.
- Main Street and North Greenville Avenue (two traffic boxes)
- North Collins Boulevard and North Greenville Avenue
- West Arapaho Road and Coit Road
- West Renner Road at Custer Parkway
Any questions about entry requirements may also be directed to Suzanne Etman by phone at 972-744-4213 or by e-mail to [email protected].
